After flower arranging class (heavenly Mother’s Day Gift – Huge thanks to my amazing husband!), I got back into town in time to pick up Buddy a little early from school. We went to the park for some swings and slides. He loved it. We also had a steady conversation of raspberries the entire way there.

This is one of the many reasons summer is my favorite season…my loves.

I know the day will come when E sends a picture of Buddy and I feel something other than smoochie, cuddly, gushing love for this kid. But that day is not today. I fear becoming that parent so you guys will have to keep me in check. 🙂

I wish I could like this more than once, though I don’t know how many would feel sufficient. Just too precious!!

Meme was sweet to make Buddy a little first birthday cake. Celebrated on the porch at the beach.

No, he can’t swim but he tries! Harry loves the pool!!

Beach time in FL!! First time in the ocean was a wee bit scary but Buddy settled into sun and sand beautifully after a few minutes.

Travels to FL were mercifully uneventful. Not too much sleep but Buddy made up for it with about 6 hours of nap time today. A 6:30pm bedtime was still in order. Loves sleep this one.

Visiting with Meme and Papa, Uncle John and Aunt Jenny, cousins Jake and Lily. Aunt Carrie comes today. We love the beach and we love family. To have them together is divine.
