With his Superdad!

Jabber mouth
Somebody is doing a lot of talking these days. I don’t know what I expected Bud to sound like when learning to talk, but since people call it cooing, these noises are a wee bit, shall we say…perplexing. Still, it makes my heart so happy to hear his little self trying to talk to us!
Restless nights and peaceful days
Bud’s first visit to the apple orchard
We visited the apple orchard in Warwick this weekend. We enjoyed the apple blossoms, the local ice cream, and apple picking. The scenery was gorgeous, though peak has come and gone. And it was great to give Mom and Dad a flavor for the area of the country we call home. It’s beautiful here, and it was a treat to get to show off our fall colors and tasty apples.
Apple picking was a riot. We were on a search for Romes but never found them; we debated the hardness and tartness of apples, resulting in many taste experiments; we climbed the trees, against the rules…okay, so I just climbed the trees; we tried to knock down the perfect apples that were too high to pick; we leveraged our giant Eric for help on some of the tall ones. All for the perfect apples…to make the perfect apple pie…which we never made…birthday cake instead 🙂
Buddy giggling with Meme
Well, Bud has never had such a grand time as with his Meme this weekend. She is so silly and made him giggle all weekend. These videos don’t capture the half of it but they’re a flavor. Meme is so great with Buddy, and he would just smile and giggle and giggle and smile. So precious. Makes me grateful this silly lady is my mom and did these things with me as a baby…
Our little Pumpkin loves his Uncle Jake
Jake gets the prize for the most hang out time with Buddy and for being the most loving even when Buddy is impolitely screaming. You know how all of us pass a baby off to mom the second the child gets fussy?! Well, Jake is happy to love even a fussy, hungry little Bud. Last night, Eric was cleaning his car (yes, cleaning his car) and Buddy’s bath and 9pm midnight snack were approaching. He became impatient and inconsolable. But Uncle Jake held strong and played with fussy Bud until bath time. That’s when you know it’s true love…
Our little Pumpkin reading his little pumpkin book with/from Jake.
Sitting up like such a big boy!
If you listen closely
Finally captured his little giggle on video. After Grandpa elicited the first giggles, I have played this game over and over hoping for little Buddy laughter. About half the time, he giggles, and the other half results in smiles that are priceless.
Have you ever seen anything so adorable?! Ever?!
First giggles
Grandpa gets the first giggles out of Buddy! I couldn’t actually capture the little baby laughter, but Buddy loves this game and loves his Grandpa.
