It has been so amazing to have my parents in town. They let Eric and I sleep late, send us off on date night, and feed us yummy dinners – homemade peach ice cream for dessert – with peaches shipped from GA. 

But the best part is their time with Buddy. So precious.

All moved into the new house and we are so excited! Except for a rough nights sleep, Harry is adjusting beautifully and seems to like the new place. At least, he says he likes it when you ask, for whatever that’s worth! I’m sure he is really just perplexed at why no one took him to the zoo today. The Dowdells and Huddlestons have been invaluable, particularly the zoo trips. Their helping hands are so appreciated but even more appreciated is the time they get with Harry. He loves his family so!! 

Uncle Jake put him to bed last night and got to experience first hand how many times Harry wants to say prayers for Uncle Jake. I love it when I make him pray for someone else and he shifts to Cousin Jake. 

Buddy has little friends in our neighborhood already and the next door neighbor has a little white doggie. So there’s that.

When the dog barks, when the ducks quack, when Aunt Katie holds my hand, my little eyes twinkle. And one thing’s for sure: I have the best uncle and aunt. 

Harry still loves dogs and his favorite dog is still Pucci. But these sentences are new. He’s such a big boy these days!

Peekaboo also still a favorite. 

Sunday morning: Harry and I went to the farmers market and then had pizza by the water fountain. Throwing pennies was tons of entertainment. Dad packed.

  
Sunday afternoon: Harry and Eric played outside and went for a “ride” on the Johnny Tractor. Mom packed. 

Harry and Eric entertaining themselves. Doesn’t take much these days! To be fair, this was a selfie back and forth correspondence between me and my guys, but I’m not about to post the candids of myself…

I should mention we bought a home for the very first time!!!! We are homeowners as of June 19th. Moving on the 20th. I am in love with this little piece of New Jersey heaven to make a home for our little family.

I took Harry to a Touch a Truck event in New Providence. There was a ton of Caterpillar equipment, so I had to teach Harry the proper reaction when he sees CAT. 

Harry loves going to the park and sliding down the twisty slide. I can’t believe he’s old enough to do this on his own, but he does so all the time at school. Loves it. If we come to pick him up from school while he’s sliding, he runs away from us!
