Bud’s first visit to the apple orchard

We visited the apple orchard in Warwick this weekend. We enjoyed the apple blossoms, the local ice cream, and apple picking. The scenery was gorgeous, though peak has come and gone. And it was great to give Mom and Dad a flavor for the area of the country we call home. It’s beautiful here, and it was a treat to get to show off our fall colors and tasty apples.

Apple picking was a riot. We were on a search for Romes but never found them; we debated the hardness and tartness of apples, resulting in many taste experiments; we climbed the trees, against the rules…okay, so I just climbed the trees; we tried to knock down the perfect apples that were too high to pick; we leveraged our giant Eric for help on some of the tall ones. All for the perfect apples…to make the perfect apple pie…which we never made…birthday cake instead πŸ™‚
